Keep your life story out of your design.
Brochures should promote one goal, not tell your life story.
As with all marketing materials, brochures need to serve a single purpose. Before starting on design, it is critical to outline what you hope to accomplish, or you risk losing potential customers. After reading your brochure, people should be prompted to take action. What action is up to you, but a long description of your business is not the ultimate goal.
Your brochure may be the first contact a potential customer has with your business. It needs to grab them and make them want to learn more. Throwing the kitchen sink into your brochure will only confuse people and turn off potential customers. Don’t waste money by including information that does not promote a specific goal.
